Attitudes Toward Chinese Language and Culture

Student attitudes toward the Chinese language and culture will be assessed by a pre-test in kindergarten in Years 1 and 3 of this research, using an instrument designed by the Center for Applied Linguistics and modified for this project by the NFLRC. Thereafter, student attitudes will be assessed annually in the late spring. Instruments designed by the NFLRC will assess administrator, classroom teacher, parent, and community attitudes.
