Student Progress on Standardized Assessments

For both treatment and control students, raw data on standardized test scores in English language arts and mathematics will be collected and analyzed annually. Different standardized tests may be used by the participating treatment and control schools, and the tests may address different grade levels. To address these differences and maintain continuity over time and across grade levels, the NFLRC will use both percentile scores (percentage of students scoring below that value) and grade level equivalent (measuring the extent to which a student is achieving at grade level).
