Planning Meeting 1: Center for Applied Linguistics, February 7-10, 2007

A planning meeting for the Chinese K-5 FLES project took place at the Center for Applied Linguistics in Washington DC on February 7-10, 2007. At this meeting the project staff defined the enduring understandings and essential questions that guide the project and developed the project conceptual framework. They began work on the project curriculum defining essential questions and themes by level for grade levels K-5. They developed the project learner profile using nationally recognized assessments and reviewed the project research plan.
